Day 6 of the 12 days of photos brings a set of images I took for the model’s new online clothing store.

I have worked with the model a few years previously and we’ve kept in touch, so I was interested to work with her to create e-commerce images with a simple plain white background. Due to the number of outfits required and the number of images there was quite a lot of attention to the setup in the studio to ensure that the images were almost done when the shutter was pressed.

Lighting was a pair of strip boxes from the sides to evenly illuminate the white paper background roll. The main light is a large soft box up above the model and directly in front of them. There’s a fourth light in the form of a smaller soft box on the floor below the main light just to reduce the shadows and even up the light on the model from head to toe.

All these images were captured with the exact same lens and camera settings. Also I appear to have used a focal length of 50mm for most of them which is unusual as generally I find I’m not a fan of the 50mm focal length of any lens.

Day 6 of 12 done, see you tomorrow for some more photos.
