Looking back at some of my favourite photos from 2018. For each of the 12 days (of Christmas) I’m sharing one of my favourite pictures I’ve taken during 2018.
#11 – Becky
Halloween, the time for all creatives to get a little bit crazy. Oxford Atelier is a studio in the centre of Oxford, and they invited a group of folks along for a social evening for Halloween. Amongst the group were some friends who I’ve not seen in a while, and also a couple of models, a hairstylist and makeup artist. It’s a studio, you have models, photographers, hair and make-up, lighting, smoke machines and coloured gels… so there better be photos.
One of the models for the evening was Becky, a super creative lady, who brought along her styling and outfits, combining with the super talents of Daisy Oldershaw and Brothers of Oxford on hair and make-up, the results were excellent. I moved some lights around and switched a few off to create this darker shot above.
Camera settings – Becky

A remarkably swift outfit, hair and make-up change gave a whole different set of photo opportunities too. I’m looking forward to working back in the studio some more in 2019 – maybe even a workshop there too.

See you tomorrow for another picture…
