Looking back at some of my favourite photos from 2018. For each of the 12 days (of Christmas) I’m sharing one of my favourite pictures I’ve taken during 2018.

#3 -Millie

I needed a model for a Speedlite workshop in Oxfordshire and elected to work with Millie. We had worked together some years earlier when she was fairly new to modelling. Millie was great at the workshop and we took the opportunity to shoot a few more pictures once all the delegates had left. In less than 30 minutes we’d got some shots that I really love. This above is one of them.

It’s a very simple setup, with a 15-inch / 38cm square Ezybox hotshoe softbox to the right of the frame. Inside the softbx was a single Speedlite 600eX-RT flash working in E-TTL.

Camera settings – Millie

  • EOS 5D Mark IV
  • EF 85mm f/1.8 USM
  • 1/200s, f/2, ISO 400
  • Speedlite flash with the Lastolite Ezybox hotshoe 38cm x 38cm

See you tomorrow for another picture…
