Looking back at some of my favourite photos from 2018. For each of the 12 days (of Christmas) I’m sharing one of my favourite pictures I’ve taken during 2018.

Georgia

#2 -Georgia

It was my absolute pleasure to see Georgia back in front of my camera in 2018, so much so that I managed three different shoots with her this year. It’s been so hard to pick a favourite shot. We worked together in Birmingham for the Canon UK CPS roadshow, in London on a wet Saturday afternoon and “in the shire” towards the end of the year. It is no surprise that you can find her fabulous face in the latest edition of EOS Magazine as part of my EOS R review. I have deliberately warmed this one up by raising the colour temperature in Lightroom.

Camera settings – Georgia

  • EOS R
  • EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM with EF-EOS R mount adapter
  • 1/100s, f/2.8, ISO 400
  • Speedlite flash with the Lastolite Ezybox Speed-Lite 2

There can’t be only one… so here’s two more of Georgia

Georgia

This monochrome one to me has a certain old film star feel, and was also a point where I finally worked out what to do with the grid accessory on the Lastolite Ezybox Speed-Lite 2. This shot is mostly ambient light from a grey London afternoon, but the light on Georgia is harder from the small softbox with the grid. When you work with the grid, you need to add some fill…

Camera settings

  • EOS 5D Mark IV
  • EF 85mm f/1.8 USM
  • 1/100s, f/2.2,  ISO 400
  • Ambient light mixed with a single Speedlite flash fitted with a Lastolite Ezybox Speed-Lite 2 and grid

Georgia

Another from the EOS R shoot, that I just have to share. This one has had some toning in Lightroom too.

Camera settings

  • EOS R
  • EF 50mm f/1.2L USM with EF-EOS R mount adapter
  • 1/100s, f/2, ISO 200
  • Speedlite flash with the Lastolite Ezybox Speed-Lite 2

I think I should have titled this post, Georgia with Ezybox Speed-Lite 2 (Amazon).

See you tomorrow for another picture…
