Over the course of 2017 I’ve taken plenty of photos that have been fun, challenging or fortunate. For each of the 12 days (of Christmas) I’m sharing one of my favourite pictures from 2017.
#11 – Symara
Symara was photographed at another Dream Project event in the summer. This time the location was a select group of rooms at a hotel in South East London. The wall was the right colour to complement Symara’s dress. All I needed was a suitable light. I used the Lastolite Ezybox Pro 60cm square softbox with the grid, to create most of the vignette you see. There was a little extra darkening in Lightroom, but mostly this is down to the grid.
and another… Chris
A top day indeed, capped off by this natural light shot of Chris taken near the end of the afternoon shoot. Positioning Chris near to a large window was all it took.
Camera settings – Symara
- EOS 5D Mark IV
- EF 24-70mm f/4L IS USM lens
- 1/100s, f/4, ISO 200
- Speedlite flash
Camera settings – Chris
- EOS 5D Mark IV
- EF 24-70mm f/4L IS USM lens
- 1/125s, f/4, ISO 400
- Natural light
It does appear that I have worked the EOS 5D Mark IV a fair bit this year, my Lightroom catalogue shows that the EOS 5D Mark IV has taken 20x more pictures than any of the other five cameras I have used. I’d say it’s a keeper.
So now to make some more fabulous work in 2018.
