I have to say a huge thanks for the fantastic group of photographers who turned out yesterday for the Scott Kelby 10th Worldwide Photowalk in Oxford.

Brian Worley worldwide photowalk

I was super happy that so many folks turned up – and we all had a great walk, in dry conditions. Here above is the group outside the Radcliffe Camera at the start of the walk, thanks to Aussie Allan for taking the shot.

One – actually two – of the highlights is when you have people who have lived in Oxford for nearly twenty years tell you that the route took them down some streets they didn’t know existed. Bulwarks Lane is now on the map for a few more people that’s for sure.

Don’t forget the photowalk competition

I can’t wait to see the photos that everyone took on the day, grey skies were with use for much of the day, so I think we’ll see less of the stunning Oxford architecture in the competition entries, but who knows!

Walkers please enter the competition, just go to the Worldwide Photowalk page and login to see the entry option appear. The submissions are now open, and the entries need to be made by next Sunday 15th October at 23:59 EDT, 4am on 16th October, if you’re a night owl.

On the day I had a walk competition with a good number of my walkers getting all the answers correct. I drew from the entries with the correct answers and Joy Rawlins won the 1-2-1 training session with me.

This was my second walk as a walk leader, and I’m keen to lead another one next year, but maybe it’s time for a different location? Suggestions in the comments please…
