With the EOS 7D Mark II comes three new Canon lenses:
- EF 400mm f/4 DO IS II USM
- EF 24-105mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM
- EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM
With over 100 million EF lenses produced since the EOS system was introduced, Canon has added three new lenses to the already extensive line-up.

Other lens technologies such as SWC (sub wavelength structure) lens coating and UD glass elements help to reduce internal flare. The nine-bladed aperture should create smooth natural looking bokeh. Similar to the other long telephoto lenses the EF 400mm f/4 DO IS II USM includes e-mode IS and power focus modes for smooth focus pulls – ideal for video.

STM zoom lens technology comes to full-frame EOS cameras. STM motors include a lead screw-type stepping motor (STM) that provides virtually silent AF while shooting video. The 24-105mm is one of the most versatile focal range options in the EF lineup as it can be used as a wide-angle lens while out on the town as well as a portrait-length zoom when trying to get closer to your subjects. The Image Stabilizer is good for 4-stops of stabilisation and two aspheric lenses plus a UD lens contribute to the high quality results.
The lens’ lightweight inner focusing system, high-speed CPU, and improved AF algorithm enables high-speed AF. In addition, the seven bladed circular aperture combined with the optimized lens placement and coatings delivers beautiful, soft bokeh, and exceptional color balance, while helping to minimize ghosting and flare. The new EF 24-105mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens provides a lighter and more affordable option with STM focus capabilities to Canon’s popular EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens.
