Off-camera flash workshop in Oxford
I’m just back from a great day with awesome folks on my first workshop of 2014.
With two groups it was pretty full on for the whole day. It was made all the more fun by each participant having a totally different combination of cameras, flashes, Nikon, Canon cameras and a range of flash guns. We triggered off-camera lights in manual mode with simple radio triggers and with the Canon pulsed light and radio systems.
I even got time to grab a quick few shots myself at the end of the day when the last outside set was being photographed.
Here’s a couple of mine straight from the camera and a quick tweak in Lightroom. These were shot in darkening conditions, a mix of the end of the day’s light and plenty of flash.
Jo our model for the day thought that being photographed in the car would keep her nice and warm, all was good until the side window was opened wide.
Thank to Sabel at Studio Blanco for hosting us so well all day, I certainly look forward to doing more workshop there in the future. Sabel and his team have been blogging and shooting behind the scenes all day, make sure to pop over to their blog to see more.
