Canon has updated the firmware for the EOS-1D Mark IV and EOS 5D Mark II. Most of the update seems to provide support for the latest generation of UDMA-7 CF cards, the updates offer improved write speeds, and also improved compatibility with extremely large CF cards, bigger than 32GB. Given that one of the few UDMA-7 cards is the SanDisk Extreme® Pro™ CompactFlash® 128GB Card with VPG that lists for $1,499 it’s not a problem i’ll be having in the near future. The card is close to the price of the EOS 5D Mark II body!
