

The day is here, time for a trip to the land of ‘lakes and trees’ and for this weekend the world rally championship. It’s a place and event I have visited several times and each time it’s a stunning trip, with good friends, good weather (ok mostly), good healthy food and some of the best motorsport action on the planet. It’s no coincidence that the the rally is often termed the Finnish Grand Prix and home advantage definitely favours the Finns and Scandinavian drivers with only a handful of non-Scandinavian drivers ever having won the event.
